Superior PetroFuels was created in August 2004 when Superior Propane acquired Peninsula Fuels and Lubricants Ltd. and Best Fuels and Lubricants Ltd. The name of the acquired company was changed to more accurately reflect the association with Superior Propane and the full range of products and services it now offered. In July 2005, Smith Fuels & Lubricants Inc. was acquired by Superior Propane and was integrated with Superior PetroFuels.
